01  EMPLOYEE-MANAGED ENTERPRISES: WHAT THEY ARE & HOW TO CREATE ONE

What can we do when corporations shut down plants and governments privatize services? One option is for workers to take over the operations. Learn the history of employee-managed enterprises, the role of labor unions, issues of internal governance, factors for success and failure, and the process of converting from a privately-owned or publicly-managed operation to an employee-managed enterprise.

02  COALITION BUILDING

Gain a common understanding and vision of the vital role a coalition can play in support of joint initiatives and mobilization strategies. Learn to develop the internal workplace coalitions and the external community coalitions that are the building blocks of any campaign.

03  FAITH & LABOR

Examine the religious foundations of the Labor Movement. Diverse religious teachings on the rights and obligations of labor will be presented; discover how labor and faith based organizations can and do join in a common cause. Elected leaders, chaplains, CAP members and religious activists will find this workshop stimulating and rewarding.
