01 LABOR, POLITICS, & POLITICAL MOBILIZING

Why do union members vote for politicians who are acting against their interests? What is the best way to change minds and mobilize our people during an election cycle? How can we form working coalitions with other progressive groups? This workshop will discuss the importance of politics to the labor movement, and provide strategy and tactics for winning in the electoral arena.

02 FAITH & LABOR

Examine the religious foundations of the Labor Movement. Diverse religious teachings on the rights and obligations of labor will be presented; discover how labor and faith based organizations can and do join in a common cause. Elected leaders, chaplains, CAP members and religious activists will find this workshop stimulating and rewarding.
